About This Group

Lincoln Vet Center provides free, confidential readjustment counseling for veterans, service members, and their families. Vet Centers offer a non-medical, community-based setting for counseling related to PTSD, military sexual trauma (MST), depression, anxiety, and the psychological effects of military service. The relaxed environment helps veterans feel comfortable seeking support outside of a traditional VA medical setting. Individual and group therapy options are available.

What to Expect

Services at the Lincoln Vet Center include individual counseling, group counseling, marital and family counseling, bereavement counseling, and referrals to other VA and community services. Counselors specialize in readjustment issues including PTSD, MST, combat stress, transition challenges, and grief. Group therapy sessions bring together veterans with shared experiences. Services are provided in a comfortable, non-clinical environment. All services are free and confidential.

About Vet Centers

Vet Centers are community-based counseling centers operated by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, providing readjustment counseling to veterans who served in combat zones, experienced military sexual trauma, or served in certain other capacities. Vet Centers operate independently from VA medical centers, offering an informal, accessible alternative for veterans seeking mental health support.
