About This Group

Aftersight, formerly the Audio Information Network of Colorado (AINC), was founded in 1990 by David Dawson, who is blind. More than 100,000 Coloradans are legally blind, and Aftersight has spent over three decades building a free audio bridge for people who are blind, have low vision, or face other barriers to print.

Ways to Find Support

Aftersight’s low vision peer support group is a mix of peer-to-peer conversation and facilitated discussion, meeting weekly over Zoom for people navigating vision loss together. Beyond the support group, Aftersight also offers a book-lovers peer group, a monthly Tech It Out session on everyday accessible technology, and an Audio Trekkers hiking group that paired nearly 80 blind and low-vision hikers with sighted guides last year. All services are completely free, and free listening equipment like smart speakers and digital receivers is available too.

Coloradans who are blind, have low vision, or otherwise benefit from an alternative to print, of any age.
