Manchester Vet Center - Veterans Counseling NH
About This Group
The Manchester Vet Center provides readjustment counseling and outreach services to veterans, active duty service members, and their families in the southern New Hampshire region. Located in Hooksett, the center offers individual and group counseling for combat-related trauma, PTSD, military sexual trauma, and the challenges of transitioning from military to civilian life. Vet Centers are community-based and provide a confidential, welcoming environment separate from VA medical centers.
What to Expect
Veterans and service members can expect a warm, informal atmosphere staffed by counselors who understand military culture — many of whom are veterans themselves. Services include individual counseling, group therapy, family counseling, bereavement counseling, and assistance with VA benefits and community referrals. Initial visits involve a conversation about your experiences and what kind of support would be most helpful. There is no formal diagnostic requirement to receive services.
