NAMI Charleston Area offers free peer-led support groups for individuals living with mental health conditions and their family members throughout the greater Charleston region. Through NAMI Connection and NAMI Family Support Group programs, participants find understanding, encouragement, and practical coping strategies from others with shared lived experience.
What to Expect
NAMI support groups follow structured formats developed by NAMI National. The NAMI Connection Recovery Support Group is for adults living with mental health conditions, while NAMI Family Support Group is for family members and caregivers. Sessions are approximately 90 minutes and are facilitated by trained peers with lived experience. No registration is required — simply show up.
