About This Group

NAMI Juneau provides free peer-led support groups, education programs, and community advocacy for individuals and families affected by mental illness in Alaska’s capital city. Their programming includes NAMI Connection for individuals, Family Support Groups for loved ones, Peer-to-Peer education courses, and NAMI Basics for parents of children with mental health conditions.

What to Expect

Support groups are led by trained NAMI facilitators with personal experience in mental health — either as individuals or family members. Sessions provide a structured, confidential environment for sharing, learning coping strategies, and building community. NAMI Juneau also offers virtual options to serve Southeast Alaska’s remote communities. Educational courses like Peer-to-Peer (8 sessions) and Family-to-Family provide deeper learning about mental health conditions and recovery.

About NAMI Juneau

NAMI Juneau is a local affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness serving Juneau and Southeast Alaska. The chapter has been providing mental health support, education, and advocacy to the community for years, working to reduce stigma and ensure that no one faces mental illness alone.
