About This Group
NAMI New Mexico is the state affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, providing education, support, and advocacy for individuals and families affected by mental health conditions throughout the Land of Enchantment. With local affiliates in Albuquerque, Santa Fe, and other communities, NAMI NM offers peer-led support groups, educational programs, and public awareness initiatives that empower people living with mental illness and their loved ones to build better lives.
What to Expect
NAMI NM offers several types of programs including Family Support Groups for caregivers, Peer-to-Peer educational courses for adults living with mental health conditions, and Connection Recovery Support Groups. Groups are facilitated by trained volunteers with personal experience with mental health challenges. Monthly public information talks provide education on mental health topics. All programs create safe, confidential environments for sharing and learning.
