About This Group
NAMI Northwest Louisiana provides free peer support for individuals and families affected by mental illness in the Shreveport area. Meeting monthly at The Harbor, this group offers consistent mental health peer support in northwest Louisiana through NAMI’s nationally recognized programs.
What to Expect
NAMI Northwest Louisiana meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 6:30–8:00 PM at The Harbor in Shreveport. Meetings are facilitated by trained peer leaders and provide a confidential, structured environment for sharing experiences, learning coping strategies, and connecting with others. Both individuals with mental health conditions and their family members are welcome in a supportive, judgment-free setting.

NAMI Northwest Louisiana is an affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, serving the Shreveport and surrounding communities in northwest Louisiana. Through monthly support groups and community education, they work to ensure that no one in the region faces mental illness alone.
