Free 24/7 Muslim Peer Support Helpline | Naseeha

Naseeha Mental Health is the first 24/7 Muslim mental health peer support helpline in North America. Founded in 2006 and expanded into a 24-hour service available day and night — including weekends, holidays, and late hours — Naseeha offers anonymous, non-judgmental, confidential, toll-free peer support to Muslims experiencing personal challenges. The organization is run by trained Muslim peer volunteers who understand both the lived experience of being Muslim and the role faith can play in mental wellness.

What to Expect

Callers can reach Naseeha by phone or text anytime — the helpline is staffed continuously by trained Muslim peer support volunteers. Calls are confidential, anonymous, and non-clinical (peer support, not therapy). Topics callers bring range across the full landscape of life — relationships, identity, family conflict, anxiety, depression, faith questions, abuse, suicidal thoughts, school pressure. When callers need more than peer support — clinical care, crisis resources, in-person help — Naseeha volunteers help connect them. Naseeha also produces resources, runs awareness campaigns, and engages in community education about Muslim mental health.

Who This Group Is For

Naseeha is open to any Muslim or non-Muslim who feels a Muslim-affirming peer would be helpful. Originally focused on youth, the service is now open to callers of all ages. Members include young Muslims navigating identity and family dynamics, adults working through grief or relationships, parents seeking guidance about their children, and elders looking for someone to talk to. Anonymity makes the service particularly accessible to community members who can’t yet talk openly about mental health with their family or mosque.

Why Peer Support Works

For many Muslim community members, having someone on the line who shares the cultural and faith context — who doesn’t need terms explained, doesn’t make assumptions, and treats Islamic practice as a strength rather than a complication — fundamentally changes what’s possible in a conversation. Naseeha’s volunteers are trained specifically to provide that. The 24/7 availability also means callers can reach out in the moments mental health most often surfaces — late at night, holidays, the silent hours after a difficult conversation.
