Parent Support Network of Rhode Island – Family Support Groups
About This Group
Parent Support Network of Rhode Island (PSN) provides peer-led support groups for parents and caregivers of children and youth with emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges. Their family support specialists — parents with lived experience raising children with special needs — facilitate groups that help families navigate the complex systems of care while finding connection and hope with others on similar journeys.
What to Expect
PSN support groups are facilitated by trained Family Support Specialists who are themselves parents of children with special needs. Groups offer a safe, nonjudgmental space where parents can share challenges, celebrate successes, learn about resources, and develop advocacy skills. Sessions may include topic discussions, resource sharing, guest speakers, and stress-relief activities. Both in-person and virtual group options are available.
