About Perinatal Support Washington

Perinatal Support Washington has been supporting new and expecting parents since 1988, providing a statewide warm line, free support groups, and resources for individuals experiencing perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs) including postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety, perinatal OCD, and birth trauma. Their trained peer counselors and licensed professionals help parents navigate the emotional challenges of the perinatal period.

What Groups Are Offered?

Perinatal Support Washington offers free support groups across the state for new and expectant parents experiencing mood and anxiety challenges. Groups address postpartum depression, anxiety, OCD, birth trauma, and adjustment difficulties. The warm line provides one-on-one phone support from trained peer counselors who have personal experience with perinatal mood disorders. Both in-person and virtual groups are available to ensure statewide access.

Who Can Join?

Support groups welcome any pregnant or postpartum individual experiencing emotional difficulties during the perinatal period. Partners and family members may also find support through the warm line and educational resources. No formal diagnosis or referral is required—if you are struggling during pregnancy or after birth, you are welcome.
