Free Parent Support Groups for LGBTQ+ Families - Boulder | Rocky Mountain Equality
About This Group
Rocky Mountain Equality (RMEQ), Boulder County’s LGBTQ+ community organization, runs peer-led support groups for parents and caregivers of LGBTQ+ children. The groups are led by parents who understand the challenges of raising and supporting queer and trans kids, and other guardians, caregivers, and family members are encouraged to join.
What to Expect
A safe, judgment-free space to connect, share stories, exchange advice, and learn together. Two ongoing groups: Parents of LGBTQ+ Youth meets in person the 4th Monday of each month, 5:00 to 6:30 PM, for families with queer and trans youth 18 or younger. Parents of Trans Children meets virtually the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays, 7:00 to 8:00 PM, for families with trans children of any age, youth or adult. RMEQ also hosts a virtual group for parents who themselves identify as LGBTQ+.
Who This Is For
Parents, guardians, caregivers, and family members of LGBTQ+ children anywhere in the Boulder area, with the virtual groups open more broadly.
