The Network Against Domestic Abuse serves north central Connecticut as a comprehensive provider of domestic violence services — and at the heart of their survivor support is a structured group program designed to help people make sense of what they have experienced, reclaim their sense of safety, and build toward a life free from abuse. Located in Enfield and serving the communities of East Windsor, Somers, Stafford, Suffield, and Windsor Locks, The Network CT’s Support Program is free, confidential, and open to all survivors.
What to Expect
The Network Support Program creates a safe and confidential space where survivors of domestic violence can share their experiences, learn about the dynamics of abuse, and develop practical knowledge and skills. Topics covered across the program include the cycle of violence, types of abusive behavior, power and control dynamics, safety planning, red flags in relationships, stalking, protective orders, the criminal court process, healthy relationship foundations, financial abuse, the effects of domestic violence on children, setting boundaries, and mourning the loss of an abusive relationship. Sessions are facilitated by trained advocates who understand the legal, emotional, and practical dimensions of surviving abuse.
Who This Group Is For
The Support Program is for adult survivors of domestic violence who are ready to engage with their experiences in a group setting. This includes individuals at any stage of leaving or recovering from an abusive relationship — whether still in the relationship, recently separated, or further along in their healing. Services are available to all people regardless of gender, sexual orientation, immigration status, race, disability, religion, or economic background. All languages are supported through The Network CT’s hotline and staff.
