Founded in 2002 as a series of poetry classes in a Denver church basement, Active Minds has grown into one of Colorado’s most beloved lifelong learning organizations, offering hundreds of programs each year on topics ranging from world history and science to art, music, current events, and culture. What to Expect
Active Minds programs are one-hour presentations led by knowledgeable, engaging facilitators who make complex topics accessible and fun. Topics rotate regularly and include subjects like the history of jazz, the science of sleep, the art of the Renaissance, geopolitics, space exploration, and Colorado history.
