Free Cystic Fibrosis Peer Support - National | CF Peer Connect

About This Group

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation runs CF Peer Connect, a one-to-one peer support program for people with cystic fibrosis and their family members. CF is a genetic disorder that affects the lungs, pancreas, and other organs, and because people with CF are advised to avoid meeting each other in person to prevent passing dangerous bacteria between one another, the Foundation built its peer support around matched one-on-one connections instead of in-person group meetings.

Ways to Find Support

After a short request form, CF Peer Connect matches you with an adult with CF or a family member based on what matters most to you: age, gender identity, health status, or shared experience like a new diagnosis, transplant, or CF-related diabetes. Conversations can cover CF transitions, daily life, emotional wellness, or family life. The Foundation’s Rocky Mountain Chapter, based in Colorado, also hosts fundraising and community events throughout the year and can connect you to local resources.

Who This Is For

People with CF and their family members age 16 and older, anywhere in the U.S., including Colorado.

How to Join

Request a peer connection through the Foundation’s website, or call 800-FIGHT-CF (800-344-4823) with questions. For more free options, see the Colorado support groups directory on My Therapy Groups.
