About This Group
H.O.P.E. (Helping Other People Evolve) provides peer-led support groups specifically for widows, widowers, and individuals grieving the loss of a spouse or life partner in New Jersey. With weekly meetings at multiple locations across seven counties and virtual chapters via Zoom, H.O.P.E. offers a compassionate community where those who have lost their partner can share their grief, find understanding, and begin to rebuild their lives alongside others who truly understand their loss.
What to Expect
H.O.P.E. meetings are facilitated by trained peer leaders who have personally experienced the loss of a spouse or partner. Groups provide a warm, supportive environment for sharing feelings, discussing the unique challenges of widowhood, and learning coping strategies. Meetings typically include open sharing time, guided discussion, and mutual encouragement. New members are welcomed with sensitivity and never pressured to speak until they feel ready.
