About This Group

EMPACT-SPC (Suicide Prevention Center) provides Survivors of Suicide Loss support groups for individuals who have lost a loved one to suicide. These specialized grief support groups address the unique and complex grief that follows a suicide loss, offering a safe community of people who truly understand this particular type of bereavement.

What to Expect

Support groups are facilitated by trained professionals and/or fellow suicide loss survivors. Sessions provide a compassionate, non-judgmental space to process the complex emotions that accompany suicide loss — including guilt, anger, confusion, and deep sadness. Participants share at their own pace and comfort level. The group helps normalize grief reactions and provides practical coping strategies unique to suicide bereavement.

They provide 24/7 crisis services, suicide prevention education, and postvention support for communities and individuals affected by suicide. Their Survivors of Suicide program is recognized as a vital community resource for suicide loss survivors.
