Free LGBTQ+ Peer Support Groups — Long Beach, CA
The LGBTQ Center Long Beach provides a wide range of free social and support groups that create a safe, affirming, and inclusive space for everyone in the LGBTQIA2S+ community. Groups are offered both in person at the Center and virtually, giving community members flexible ways to connect, find belonging, and support one another.
What to Expect
Support groups are facilitated by Center staff or led by trained peers, and they cover a variety of identities and experiences within the LGBTQIA2S+ community. Meetings are welcoming and community-centered — a place to share, listen, and build connection. Many groups meet weekly, and most are open without an RSVP unless otherwise noted.
Who This Group Is For
Groups serve LGBTQIA2S+ individuals ages 16 and up, with offerings that span youth, adults, and older adults (including a 55+ program). Whatever a member’s identity or stage of their journey, the Center aims to offer an affirming space.
Why Peer Support Works
For LGBTQIA2S+ people, being among others who share similar experiences can be affirming and protective, easing isolation and countering stigma. Peer and community support fosters resilience, belonging, and the sense of being fully seen and accepted.
How to Join
All support groups are free to attend. The Center is located at 2017 E. 4th Street, Long Beach. Call (562) 434-4455 for current group schedules and details.
