Free Veterans Peer Support — Los Angeles County | VPAN

The Veteran Peer Access Network (VPAN) is a community-driven support network serving veterans, service members, and their families throughout Los Angeles County. Led by veterans and military family members, VPAN provides free peer support, outreach, system navigation, and advocacy so that every veteran can access the benefits, care, and community they have earned.

What to Expect

VPAN deploys trained Veteran and Military Family Peers across LA County’s supervisorial districts, offering one-on-one peer support, social connection through peer groups and community-building activities, and warm linkage to mental health, substance-use, and basic-needs services. Every staff member is either a veteran or a military family member, so support comes from people with shared lived experience.

Who This Group Is For

VPAN welcomes veterans of all eras and discharge statuses, active-duty service members, reservists, guard members, and military family members living in Los Angeles County.

Why Peer Support Works

Connecting with a peer who has served can break through the isolation many veterans feel after transition. Peers understand military culture, speak the same language, and can build the trust needed to help a fellow veteran take the next step toward care and stability.

How to Join
