About This Group

The Huntington’s Disease Society of America (HDSA) Rocky Mountain Chapter, based in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, connects people affected by Huntington’s disease across the region. HD is a genetic disorder that causes the progressive breakdown of nerve cells in the brain, and support groups are one of the chapter’s core recurring programs.

Ways to Find Support

Support groups meet monthly and quarterly, now hosted online through the Hey Peers platform. Groups are open to people living with HD, people who are at-risk, gene positive, gene negative, caregivers, friends, and family. HDSA also runs a national online support group program with additional group options beyond the regional schedule.

Who This Is For

Anyone in Colorado and the wider Rocky Mountain region touched by Huntington’s disease, at any stage: those living with HD, those at genetic risk, and the people who care for them.
