About The Archway

The Archway is a comprehensive domestic violence and sexual assault service provider serving Tarrant County, Texas. Operating since the 1980s, The Archway offers emergency shelter, counseling, legal advocacy, and support groups for survivors of intimate partner violence, sexual assault, and stalking. Their licensed counselors and trained advocates provide trauma-informed care to help survivors heal and rebuild their lives.

What Groups Are Offered?

The Archway offers therapeutic support groups facilitated by licensed counselors, including groups for adult survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault survivor support groups, children’s therapy groups for young witnesses of family violence, and psychoeducational groups focused on safety planning, healthy relationships, and coping strategies. Both English and Spanish language groups are available. They also offer individual counseling alongside group programming.

Who Can Join?

Support groups are available to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, and stalking in Tarrant County. Services are available regardless of gender, age, immigration status, or income level. You do not need to be a current shelter resident to participate in support groups or counseling. Children and teens who have witnessed family violence are eligible for specialized youth groups.

Meeting Schedule & Location

Support groups meet on a regular weekly schedule at The Archway’s Fort Worth campus and at community-based outreach locations. Specific meeting times and locations are provided upon intake to protect the safety of participants. Virtual group options may also be available.

What to Expect
