Walk to End Alzheimer's Atlanta 2026: Free Dementia Awareness Walk
About this event
Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest fundraiser for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research, held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide. The Atlanta walk gathers families, caregivers, professionals, and community members to honor those living with Alzheimer’s and other dementias, support caregivers, and fund research toward effective treatments and a cure.
What to expect
Each walk includes the Promise Garden Ceremony, where participants carry flowers in four colors representing their personal connection to the disease: blue for someone living with Alzheimer’s, purple for someone who has lost a loved one, yellow for caregivers, and orange for general supporters. The walk follows accessible routes, and resources from local memory care and caregiver support organizations are available on site.
Who this is for
People living with Alzheimer’s disease or another dementia, family caregivers, friends, healthcare professionals, and anyone touched by memory loss.
How to join
Register free, find your local walk, or start a team at act.alz.org. The 24/7 Alzheimer’s Association Helpline is available at 1-800-272-3900 for caregiver support and information separate from the walk.
