Delaware Hospice – Grief Support Groups Statewide

About This Group

Delaware Hospice provides monthly grief support groups for anyone experiencing loss at locations throughout the state, including Middletown, Millsboro, and Newark. They also offer Camp New Hope — a free annual two-day summer camp for children and teens ages 6-17 coping with grief. No prior hospice care connection is required to participate.

What to Expect

Grief support groups are facilitated by trained bereavement counselors in a compassionate, safe environment. Monthly meetings help participants understand the grieving process, develop healthy coping strategies, and connect with others who understand their loss. Specialized men’s grief groups are also available. Camp New Hope provides age-appropriate grief support activities for young people in a camp setting.

About Delaware Hospice

Delaware Hospice has served the state for decades, providing comprehensive end-of-life care and bereavement support. Their grief services extend to the entire community — you do not need to have been a Delaware Hospice patient or family member to participate. Their bereavement program is one of the most comprehensive in this small state, reaching communities from Wilmington to Sussex County.
