About This Group
The NAMI Family Support Group in Colorado Springs is a free, peer-led support group for adults (18+) who have a loved one living with a mental health condition. Whether you are a parent, spouse, partner, sibling, adult child, or other caregiver, this group provides a safe and confidential space where you can connect with others who share similar experiences and find the support you need.
What to Expect
Each meeting follows NAMI’s structured format and typically runs 90 minutes. Sessions are facilitated by trained family members who have their own experience of supporting a loved one with mental illness. Discussions focus on shared experiences, coping strategies, communication skills, self-care, and navigating the mental health system. Participants are welcome to share at their own comfort level.

NAMI Colorado Springs is a local affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness serving the Pikes Peak region. The affiliate provides free education programs, support groups, and advocacy for both individuals living with mental illness and their family members and caregivers.
