Salt Lake Behavioral Health offers the Patriot Support Program, a specialized 30-day inpatient trauma treatment program designed exclusively for active duty service members, veterans, and first responders. The program addresses PTSD, military sexual trauma (MST), combat-related trauma, depression, anxiety, and co-occurring substance use disorders through evidence-based therapies delivered by a multidisciplinary team of licensed clinicians experienced in military and first responder culture.
What Groups Are Offered?
The Patriot Support Program includes daily group therapy sessions as a core component of treatment. Groups include trauma processing groups using Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Prolonged Exposure (PE), mindfulness and stress management groups, substance abuse recovery groups, anger management sessions, coping skills development, art and recreation therapy, and peer support groups. Individual therapy, psychiatric care, and family programming complement the group experience.
Who Can Join?
The program serves active duty military, veterans of all eras, National Guard and Reserve members, and first responders (law enforcement, fire, EMS) struggling with trauma-related conditions, PTSD, depression, anxiety, or substance use. TRICARE, VA Community Care, and most private insurance plans are accepted. The admissions team assists with insurance verification and authorization.
