TrevorSpace — The Online Community
TrevorSpace is the world’s largest safe space social networking site for LGBTQ+ young people ages 13-24 and their friends and allies. The community is moderated 24/7 by trained Trevor Project staff to maintain safety. Members can post in topic forums, message peers, attend virtual events, and find connection with other LGBTQ+ youth around the world. Sign-up is free and confidential — accounts are verified to maintain age limits.
24/7 Crisis Support
Trevor Project offers three free 24/7 crisis services: TrevorLifeline (call 1-866-488-7386), TrevorText (text START to 678-678), and TrevorChat (instant message via thetrevorproject.org). All three are staffed by trained crisis counselors and serve LGBTQ+ young people considering suicide, working through coming out, navigating family rejection, or facing other crisis. Services are free and confidential.
Who This Is For
LGBTQ+ young people ages 13-24, including those who are questioning, gender-diverse, transgender, nonbinary, or otherwise navigating their sexual orientation or gender identity. Friends and allies of LGBTQ+ youth are welcome at TrevorSpace if approved.
Why Trevor Project Matters
LGBTQ+ youth are more than four times as likely to attempt suicide as their peers. Crisis support that explicitly understands LGBTQ+ experiences — coming out, family rejection, conversion therapy harms, gender dysphoria, identity exploration — saves lives that general crisis lines may not. Trevor Project pairs that crisis safety net with TrevorSpace’s ongoing community so youth have somewhere to be themselves between calls.
