About This Group

NAMI Savannah provides free peer-led support groups for individuals living with mental health conditions and their families in the Savannah and coastal Georgia area, serving Chatham, Effingham, Bryan, and Liberty counties. The NAMI Connection group meets on the first and third Thursdays of each month, providing a safe and structured environment for sharing experiences and building resilience.

What to Expect

The NAMI Connection Support Group meets at 6:00 PM on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays at Wilmington Island United Methodist Church. Sessions are facilitated by trained peer leaders with lived experience. Family Support Groups are also available for loved ones and caregivers. NAMI Savannah additionally offers 8-session educational programs covering mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies. Meetings are free and open to all — no registration needed.
