What to Expect

The Parent/Caregiver Peer Support Group meets monthly on Zoom for parents and caregivers to share experiences, resources, and support. The Adult Social Group provides structured social activities for young adults on the spectrum. The Older Adult Group serves autistic adults 30+ with bi-monthly meetings focused on social connection and peer support. All groups are designed to foster authentic connections within the autism community.

The Autism Society of Greater Detroit is a volunteer-driven nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals with autism and their families in the Detroit metropolitan area through support groups, social programs, educational events, and community advocacy.

Parent Group: 4th Friday, 5:30 – 7:00 PM (virtual via Zoom)

Adult Social (18-29): 3rd Friday, 5:30 – 7:30 PM (monthly)

Older Adult (30+): 2nd & 4th Wednesday, 5:00 – 7:00 PM (bi-monthly)

Format: Virtual and in-person options

Autistic individuals of all ages and their family members in the greater Detroit area. Separate groups for parents/caregivers, young adults (18-29), and older adults (30+).
