About This Group
Three Birds Alliance (formerly Gateway Domestic Violence Services) in Aurora provides free, confidential support groups for survivors of domestic violence, stalking, and intimate partner abuse. As the only 24/7 emergency shelter in Aurora and Arapahoe County, Three Birds Alliance offers comprehensive services to help survivors and their families find safety, healing, and empowerment. Support groups are facilitated by trained victim advocates in a trauma-informed setting.
What to Expect
Support groups provide a confidential space where survivors can share their experiences, connect with others who understand, and learn about the dynamics of abusive relationships. Topics covered include developing safety plans, rebuilding self-esteem, establishing healthy boundaries, navigating legal protections such as restraining orders, and planning for the future. Groups are facilitated by experienced victim advocates.

Three Birds Alliance is a nonprofit organization serving Aurora, Arapahoe County, Adams County, and Douglas County. Services include emergency shelter (up to 90 days of extended-stay care), 24-hour crisis line, individual and group counseling, court advocacy, and services for pets. All services are free and confidential, available in English and Spanish with interpretation services for other languages upon request.
