About This Group
NAMI Helena provides free peer-led support groups and educational programs for individuals and families affected by mental illness in Montana’s capital city and surrounding Lewis and Clark County. The NAMI Connection Recovery Support Group meets twice monthly, offering a consistent source of peer support for adults living with mental health conditions. NAMI Helena also offers educational programs to help families understand and support their loved ones.
What to Expect
The NAMI Connection Recovery Support Group meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month from 6:00-7:30pm. Groups are facilitated by trained peers who have personal experience with mental health conditions. The format is structured and confidential, with time for sharing, mutual support, and discussion of coping strategies. Virtual options may also be available. New members are welcome at any meeting without prior registration.
About NAMI Helena
NAMI Helena is a local affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness serving Helena and Lewis and Clark County. As the NAMI affiliate in Montana’s capital, the organization also engages in advocacy for mental health policy at the state level, working to improve services and reduce stigma statewide.
