About The Compassionate Friends – Virginia Beach

The Compassionate Friends Virginia Beach Chapter offers peer-led grief support for bereaved parents, grandparents, and adult siblings in the Hampton Roads area. The Virginia Beach chapter is part of a national organization dedicated to supporting bereaved families.

What Groups Are Offered?

The group welcomes families grieving children of any age and from any cause of death. Special events throughout the year, including candle lighting ceremonies, provide additional opportunities for remembrance and connection.

Who Can Join?

Any bereaved parent, grandparent, or adult sibling grieving the death of a child is welcome, regardless of how long ago the loss occurred or the cause of death. No registration or membership fee is required.
